Introducing formula to EBF baby

I'm interested to know how others have done this. What formulas are more likely to be accepted? What type of bottle/ cup would be best? What time of day to do it and basically any other experience people here have with babies of a similar age.

My daughter was ombination fed up to about 6 weeks, and then was EBF. Have tried a couple of times my DP feeding with formula in a bottle and she has just not been interested.
I have a few things coming up and need to be away from her for 6/7 hours. Also will be going back to work in a couple of months. I don't particularly want to express often. I don't want to stop bf completely yet.

Any advice, particularly from people who have done this would be very welcome.

It should say she is 8 months old

We did a mix of formula and pumped milk, slowly using less pumped milk over the course of 2 weeks. We only did 1 bottle a day so it took a while to transition but she now happily has a bottle of formula before bed and occasionally overnight but bf the rest of the time.

I also have a few things at the end of the month and in Spetember where I have to be away from DD for over 24h. I am now introducing one bottle feed instead of a bf a week to get her stomach used to more formula and my books used to making less milk!

I could never get mine to take a bottle. He just didn't want it.

Have you tried a cup? Either formula or expressed milk would work. Mine took to the cup very well. He'll drink anything out of it, be it sippy or totally open.
