Hello,

Me and my husband would like to go for a lovely holiday in November. We haven't been for 3 years due to the pandemic and we are planning another baby next year and my 4 year old will start school so going on a luxury holiday will be out of the question.

We want to go to Mauritius for 5 nights and Dubai for 3 nights or Ras Khaimah/Abu Dhabi all inclusive beach holiday for 7 nights.

These holidays will cost about £4/5K.

However i do not know how my 4 year old will behave...

Are we silly to spend that much going with a 4 year old? and maybe leave it for when my children are a bit older?

That's mad money. Go somewhere cheaper - you'll have fun anywhere.

That's a lot of flying for a 4 year old. I wouldn't to a 2 centre trip with small kids. You ideally want to be able to pitch up somewhere and stay put.

We took DS to Barbados in Feb this year. He was 4 and in reception but we took him out of school for 3 days to make a 10 day trip as 7 days isn't a lot when you factor in jetlag/ time of arrival etc.
His behaviour was generally impeccable, even on the flights although he didn't eat a great deal. We were staying with FIL so not a full cost trip if you see what I mean. I think you know really whether your child will behave well enough or not.

Why not just do one? It's the chopping and changing that will be a bother.

Dubai is extremely family friendly so you'll have a good time, but I don't know about Mauritius I'm afraid!

Mauritius is very family friendly but it is a 12 hour flight from London so that might be one to bare in mind! Plus both Dubai and Mauritius will be very warm in November. Having been to both I'd say there's plenty for kids in both locations.

I would 100% do it and my advice is go for it!
