Is this chicken pox?!

Very confused. 20 month has been a bit unsettled last few days borderline temp, seems to have a sore throat generally a bit grumpy. She’s woke up this morning with a few spots, one in particular is blistered so I’m thinking chicken pox?? Plot twist being that she’s fully vaccinated for chicken pox! We got the vaccine as soon as she turned one. Anyones vaccinated children still get CP?

A colleague had a DS who was fully vaccinated and he ended up with a milder version of chickenpox. It does look like chickenpox to me @MotherOfDragon20 - hope she's ok.

I asked for advice on here and would highly recommend PoxClin and an oat-filled sock in the bath!

You can still get cp if vaccination. You would only not get it if everyone is vaccinated and therefore there is herd immunity.

My children had chicken pox but a very mild dose so only had about 25 spots each over their entire bodies. I am immune (tested for job) and Dh has had it twice, once as a toddler and then as an adult at the beginning of our marriage. If your DD's spot has a little blister then it is probably chicken pox.

I'm in the same boat. My 2 year daughter got the vaccine 11 days ago due to chicken pox going around nursery.

Last night I noticed she had 2 spots in her arm and 3 on her back. They haven't changed this morning still look the same.
These are hers

So I’ve decided it’s hand foot and mouth. Over the morning lots more stops have come out but all on her hands, feet, lower legs and arms and bottom and a few round her lips none of trunk or back so I’m thinking it’s not chicken pox but I guess we’ll see over the next few days!

Would it be worth just checking if it’s monkeypox? Where I live, parents are being asked to double check if something presents like chicken pox or HFM? Hope she feels better soon.

So sorry to jump on the end of your thread! I do really hope everything will be ok for you guys. I can’t seem to figure out how to start my own chat but does this look like chicken pox to anyone? He also has one on his bum cheek, his skin is quite sensitive and he’s been in the garden all day, he’s also been snotty and slightly off his food for a few days too. Any advice would help! My anxiety is through the roof as we go away in 2.5 weeks so panicked if it is my DD with get it just before we go away..
