Hi all,
I am a mum to the happiest 10.5 month old baby boy, I’ve never been concerned about him until recently but I’m really starting to worry a bit about his development. I am so bad at googling everything maybe that’s why I’ve such fear, but I’ve noticed my DS isn’t consistently responding to his name, it depend if the environment and what he’s doing sometimes he will turn around and sometimes not. He has perfect eye contact and will react to smiles and laughs with us. He also isn’t clapping or pointing or waving but he can crawl and is standing up and walking holding onto furniture can anyone offer me some reassurance as I know all babies development at different stages but Google has put the worse situation in my mind

You really need to step away from Google, relax, and enjoy your amazing baby. He sounds perfectly normal to me. Sometimes they won't respond to their name because they're ignoring you. He's busy and has loads to do. 🙂

Sounds totally normal to me.

It’s okay to ignore the mom! Lol. Don’t worry OP, please don’t Google too much. It all sounds normal and similar to me. I have a 17 month old boy.

so for reference my boy can clap, wave and point but no were near walking. Not even close. Only learned to crawl at 11 months. They just do things in different orders. I'm sure he's fine.

If I were you I would be moving everything from his reach and ensuring he can't climb on things that will topple.

Problem with early walkers/cruisers is they don't know what is and isn't safe so get themselves into trouble.

Other than that stop Googling.
