Normal rash/marks?

As picture shows. First time mum so I'm clueless! These come up on babys hand and feet mostly after a feed. GP said it sounds like cold exposure rash and totally normal but hasn't actually seen it.. its like liney and red. Disappears after like 10 minutes.

Sorry if this is obvious and stupid. Nervous first timer!

I do remember my DS hands and feet looking mottled like that when they were cold - is it actually a rash, or is smooth to the touch? And do the hands/feet feel cold at the time?

That doesn’t explain why it would only happen after feeds though.

It's smooth to touch. They don't feel overly cold.. yeah seems odd to me it's after a feed. It goes pretty quickly too within 10 minutes

If it’s smooth I wouldn’t worry, young babies don’t have very good circulation. I used to give my DS hands and feet a little rub to warm them up. Maybe try rubbing them and if it clears quicker you’ll know that’s what’s causing it.

Just to add a little disclaimer, I’m not a healthcare professional, so if you are really worried you should still seek help!

Thank you :) yeah it's totally smooth and he doesn't seem in pain or anything. Just me being yotally paranoid about everything

Of course. I'll show the picture to the GP when I see them next still.

It's mottling, normal in some babies but you can get baby's heart checked if you want, babies grow out of normal mottling after a few months.
