Feel like a crap mother

I have a 16 month old DD and am 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I’ve just about come through the hell of all-day nausea but I’m not 100% feeling better, and I’m also now extremely tired all the time - exhausted from the moment I wake up until I can go to sleep when she does in the evening. I nap with her during the day as well but these naps always leave me feeling groggy and disorientated.

Anyway, the reason I feel like a crap mother is because I am still not able to do much with my toddler. I wanted to be able to take her out more by this stage - I thought I’d be feeling better. She gets a walk everyday and is always running around the house so gets plenty of exercise, but I haven’t been able to take her swimming or to any groups/soft play as I just don’t have the energy.

Also she has become a little more choosy about what she eats recently and I feel guilty for giving her jacket potato with beans and cheese, pizza, fish fingers etc too often but there’s a lot she won’t eat now and I can’t stand around preparing elaborate meals only for them to end up on the floor. Eating what I eat at the moment isn’t the best idea (mostly cheese sandwiches) but when DH has something she can eat she will have that. When I can eat more I’ll offer her more of our food but I’m also feeling really paranoid recently about salt? I don’t add any but it’s in so many things.

Anyway, I hope to miraculously have more energy soon but I’m not holding my breath and god knows what it’ll be like when the new baby arrives…
