Just wondering, did you get an overwhelming broody feeling or maybe did you do it for other reasons when considering trying fornl second....
Bit of context, have 10 month old, am 39, zero broodyness.... Is that even a word....

Oh, and even though it took 3 long, long years to conceive DC1, I don't think I ever had the intense broodiness that resulted in DC2.

Nope, just went for it as we'd already known we wanted 2, and didn't want a big age gap.

He is absolutely as wanted as DC1, and conceived much more quickly too. It felt like we already knew what we wanted to do, we didn't need to wait for the brain chemistry/hormone stuff to do its thing, if that makes any sense.

Very!! I was desperate for a second child. Was convinced we weren't going to have one as been trying a little while. Bought a puppy, two days later found out I was pregnant. Was just as desperate for number two as for my first .

I was so broody for both my children. I get moments of broodiness for a 3rd but it doesn't last long so sticking at 2

It's here but I can't hack another child

Nintendoswitchedoff · 25/07/2022 21:48

It came for me at about 12 months after I had DS1 but we waited another few months before TTC.

I am 42 and reckon my body knows this is the last chance saloon. I'm ridiculously broody, literally every baby I see. I could also shag any bloke going when I'm ovulating. But I'm well and truly done. Was done when I was 28 weeks pregnant with DS2 7 years ago!

I am so broody for number 2, DS is 18 months but I've felt like this for a while. Me and DH are both really keen to start trying again but I'm determined to loose some weight first as I was obese with DS and I do think it put an extra strain on my body. I feel like it's constantly on my mind and the temptation to just say fuck it let's try is so strong but I had pre eclampsia with DS so I really want to reduce the risk of that again as much as possible.
