Ive been sat here for what feels like days.

I hate all this academic/theory shit.

Im flummoxed at that, The whole point of a key worker is to try and keep people out of acute care.

Case worker is very hot on patients rights, which is a great thing, but she isn't really helping the dd or the mother.

Ill keep you in mind- im not so hot on stuff at the mo ( although I am learning everyday!!) but I will talk to my module leader on tuesday and see what he would suggest - he is a psychiatric nurse retrained psychotherapist as he learnt long ago that medicating people doesnt always work so is the Dogs bolleaux in talking therapies- so really understands other ways of engaging with clients.

Im all for patients rights- its so important to be an advocate for the client but as students currently we are having it drilled into us that we treat the family and carers, not just the client.

I'm doing a joint degree in journalism & psychology.

My heart lies in journalsim though. I do enjoy the psychology, it's interesting, but probably of little use to me as I'm not going further in my studies with it.
