My 11 mo son has not long started to sleep through the night so all has been going well, but recently between 2/3/4 in the morning he’s been waking up and this lasts well over an hour. He seems agitated he’s winging crying on and off and crawling about the bed asif he doesn’t know what to do with himself… starts off just winging then come the end of the hour he is in full blown hysterics and has worked himself right up. I don’t think it’s his mouth as I can tell when he’s got a tooth about to cut through and it’s a different cry, this is almost asif he’s bored and crying out of sheer boredom to begin with? He has a very good temperament he hardly ever cries tbh but this is driving me to insanity as by the time it finally settles I can’t get back to sleep myself and I’m living off a few hours sleep per night. When he wakes may I add I change his nappy, offer him water and have also been offering milk incase it’s hunger!! None of which have worked. Any advice or has anyone ever been through this with their LO? Thanks in advance 🫣 xx

I don’t have much experience of this myself but you could try googling ‘split nights’ and see what advice there is. I think it can happen if they’ve had too much day sleep so could be worth looking at nap times and lengths.
