As title says I really want to be there at the end of the day to see them with all their friends. Anyone else?

I'll pick mine up mainly as its the last time I have to pick up her younger sister. (Who will be old enough to walk alone next term...)

I fully expect her to ignore me.

Me and DH both took the day off to walk DS to school and pick him up. It's a half day. Everyone round here does it as a ritual at end of primary, even though y6 kids walk to school the rest of the year by themselves!

I'll be picking up as well. I want to get photos and say goodbye to their teachers as well.

Collected all three and the year 6 parents went to pub on the green beforehand!!It's tradition at the school 😉

I was really pleased when my jubilee bank holiday was made DS2's last day of primary. So, yes. I took and collected him. But if the days hasn't fallen right, he'd have been on his own.

our school was in lockdown so we had to do it months later in a park instead, but they make a whole thing of it. All the younger students, teachers, and parents of the leaving students line the halls as they walk out of the building one last time. I’ve been there for other years just helping out and it’s surprisingly emotional even when it’s not your child. so yes, I would pick up.

Yes, I did my last drop off and collection yesterday. DD is my youngest so that's the end of Primary school for us.

I did feel a little bit emotional but I know DD is ready for Secondary school so I'm looking forward rather than back.

I walked DTs yesterday, even though they have been walking by themselves for all of y6. They asked me too, and most of the parents were there.

I picked them up too as they had a leavers assembly so again most of the parents were there.

Great I'm definitely going along too then.

Wasn't going to walk to school also but as it won't be a thing in secondary I may do that too.

Our schools last year is year 4 and they are having a party straight after school so collection time is 4.30-5pm. Supposedly so more parents can be there to collect them
