Clutching at straws here but wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a 8m old with an on an off cough since April which has returned with a vengeance in the last 4 days.
DD is literally coughing every 2 minutes throughout the night for at least 4 or 5 hours non stop. She coughs in the daytime but is worse when laid down.
I have been/spoken to the doctors 6 times now over the last 3 months and each time when she is examined we are told she has a clear chest etc.
I have been given piriton, inhaler, and I have raised the cot, used snufflebabe, steam, calpol vaporiser, calpol, calcough and I am literally at my wits end of how to help her. She is absolutely exhausted and has purple marks under her eyes.
She has recently come off omeprazole as she didn't seem to be suffering with reflux now she is on solids however I am restarting this today to see if this helps as she only stopped this 2 weeks ago and I'm wondering if teething could have exacerbated acid and made it 1000% worse.
She had covid 3 weeks ago and have tested again and is negative.
If anyone can suggest anything to help I will literally try anything to try and help her as I literally can't bear this anymore.
