3mo making himself sick, any suggestions?

My 3mo DS keeps shoving his thumb so far into his mouth that he’s making himself sick. He won’t take a dummy and I’ve tried all types of teething stuff for him to suck/chew on but he either won’t entertain it or will try to shove the whole thing in his mouth and then cried because he can’t. I’m stuck on what to do as he’s constantly doing it and I don’t want him to be throwing up every five minutes. It’s very hard to distract him from it.

My 3 month old doing this aswell, wouldn't take dummy for the longest time, iv started to give a different shaped dummy and she takes it ok now, still puts hands in mouth but at least the dummy is a bit of an achievement
