Single mum and pregnant with a child

Hey lovelies, I have never done this before but really need advice at the moment. I have a 4 year old son starting school this year and I just found out I am pregnant. Unplanned. My son's dad isn't supportive and is quite hard work. I live on my own with my son but my mind is all over the place. I really want my son to have a brother or a sister because I never did but I'm so scared. Can I do this on my own with a child and a baby? How do you know or figure out the best thing? I really wanted another child but I will be doing this all on my own and I'm scared I might screw it up. Has anyone gone through this ? Please give me some thoughts of my situation?

I would think very, very carefully about whether or not you can give this baby everything it needs to thrive, without reducing your existing child's quality of life.

I think it comes down to your current level of resources and stability. Are you in work? Do you have a support network? Do you live rurally or are you in an area where you can easily access shops and appointments?

You will be fine I’m a single mum to 4, have been since pregnant with the youngest ex left me when pregnant and has had no involvement at all. You will manage.

I think you will manage. I have one DC but I think your age gap is lovely. Your DC is going to school so it will be easier for you. Better it's now rather than a couple of years down the line and having a bit of a wide gap. Congratulations OP!

Going back to work maybe a bit of a juggle but not impossible. Oh and I hope your getting finicial support.. CMS?
