WWYD 1 year vaccinations booked for Tues

1 year old DDs vaccinations are booked for Tuesday. I’m not worried about the weather in general, it’s a few days and we’ll survive it’s fine. But I don’t know if adding vaccinations into the mix is going to make an already hot and irritable baby even more uncomfortable?

She’s never really had any side effects before so I’m thinking she’ll be fine. But equally I’m worried this will be the time when she ends up unwell from them and it’s forecast 39 degrees where we are.

WWYD - rearrange or keep the appointment?

My dd turned one last week and can have her vaccinations from next Monday but I'll wait until this hot spell is done, then have them. A few more days isn't going to matter is it?

I personally don't want dd to have a temperature in this heatwave if I can avoid it. When my ds had his 1 year vaccinations, he was really poorly afterwards so I'm going to air on the side of caution.

Thanks, that's what I'm kind of leaning towards. I wanted to get them out of the way next week before I go back to work but think I'll see if they can move them to the following week. I know they have a lot of vaccinations this time too so probably more chance of her feeling unwell - plus she's got teeth popping through left, right and centre 🤯. Maybe for my own sanity I need to postpone them 😂🙈
