Has anyone else had their newborn doing wet farts beyond the first month or so? My lo is coming up to 8 weeks and still does them constantly. It’s so hard to keep her bum clean, my DH got sprayed today when she sneezed mid nappy change. Funny but her nappy habit is costing us house and home!

Is this normal or could it be due to some other issue - like lactose intolerance maybe?

I think it's normal, liquid diet = liquid poo.

It's normal.

That does sound a bit extreme. Babies have a habit of weeing and pooping during nappy changes but I've not experienced being sprayed from wind, even with very liquid poop.

DD did a lot of poos and was later diagnosed with cows milk protein intolerance. Her poos tended to have a green tinge to them because of the intolerance.

For us it was one of the signs of CMPA. Does she have any other symptoms or issues?

So She has a bunged up nose every day, I clear it with saline spray and then she has a big bogey again the next day. She has normal colour poos but mucous in them frequently so I am thinking it may be some kind of allergy - can they diagnose cmpa this early - she is ebf atm.

My older two never did this past the week and my second had cmpa but never wet farts for so long. It’s actually quite difficult to deal with as we are constantly changing nappies when out and it can take up to 4 nappies to finish without a good wet fart soiling the new nappy. 😩 it must be uncomfortable for her poor thing

Not sure what I can do aside from just wait it out?
