Awful eczema

So I had terrible eczema as a child/young teenager and then almost overnight it went away and never came back.

Fast forward to now about 13 years later, and it has randomly come back terribly! It came back slightly in pregnancy but nothing like it is now.

Has anyone else had so many years free from eczema for it to return? Has it had anything to do with having children?

i had very severe eczema as a child but grew out of it by teens. It was completely gone for around 15 years and then came back when I was going through a very emotionally stressful time (thinking back I didn’t sleep much at the time and didn’t have time to eat the best diet). I was put on a steroid ointment as nothing would get it under control - 6 years on and I used the steroid ointment very occasionally but have to make sure to use a really good moisturiser every morning and night (the child’s farm baby moisturiser is honestly helped so much more than any prescribed cream).
