Nanit baby monitor

Does anyone have the nanit baby monitor? If so are you able to let me know if you can hear your baby crying through your phone or is just a notification that pops up? So if you miss the notification you might miss the fact baby is crying?

just thinking how it would work if we have family babysitting

We have nanit it depends how you set it . You can have the background noise if you want (be warned there is some white noise if you do that and baby makes no sound) or you can rely on the notifications.
I love Nanit you can see your baby and get notified of sound and movement even if you are miles away. So reassuring
