Best buoyancy aid for toddlers?

DC is 24 months old and we're off on holiday in a few weeks. I've heard about puddle jumpers so this seems a possibility, has anyone used one with an average sized two year old and would you recommend it?

Would a swim vest be better? I've read lots of reviews of it tipping little ones forward in the water...

Or just bog standard arm bands and a ring?

I'm aware noodles are recommended but the pool is pretty deep and I would like some extra buoyancy at this stage. Please tell me your recommendations or any good/bad experiences with puddle jumpers and swim vests!

DS is now 3 and has had one of these flotation vests for the past year or so - my friend who was a swim teacher said they were better than armbands because it's a more 'swimmingy' position. We've taken a few of the floaty bits out as he's got bigger to get him more used to actually having to make some effort to try and swim.

We had a swim vest (the zoggs one) and then armbands. I actually thing arm bands are better as they give more buoyancy. Also the zoggs vest turned dc on his back which is safer but he didn't like.

Arm bands look uncomfortable but kids seem to love the freedom
