How on earth do you keep on top of your house? I mean, I do - I'm quite house proud and keep my house clean, BUT I feel as if I spend soooooo long chasing my tail around with tasks all day to achieve it.

Others seem to hardly ever clean, or clean quickly, and achieve the same results. Probably an efficiency problem. I'm sick of feeling as if I'm spending my whole day trying to achieve the basics.

Can anyone relate?

The organised mum method is good

I can manage it without being given a system

I don't. The house is a pig sty. We just eat ready made food or something really simple like pasta with pre grated cheese and those frozen steam bag vegetables, I go out in dirty clothes and with crazy hair and I have put on more than a stone after giving birth and I'm constantly stressed about missing deadlines for work and not doing anything admin related. And I haven't seen a dentist for more than 6 years now, Etc.

I manage to look after the kids and do most (!!...sorry music teacher for again forgetting to send her scores with dd...) stuff that they need. I love them more than anything else and I think I take good care of them. For now that has to be enough.

I have to call my psychiatrist so I can go back on meds but I hate taking the meds (they are effectivr but make me.feel.horrible) and I keep forgetting to call them or when my.l appointments are..yes, even with alarms and reminders..if I manage to set an alarm....anyway it's on my to do list.

If you can put in a system then they are really helpful. anything that becomes a habit so you don't have to worry about it anymore.

My house is a bit of a tip. I have an amazing husband who does the cooking and most of the laundry. I just about keep on to of cleaning but everywhere is clutter. We find when we invite people over we put in extra effort, so we try to entertain at least once a month. I’m currently studying part time and work part time, my course finishes in December and I’m going to try to up my hours and use extra money for a cleaner.
