My partner was putting our little one down for a nap earlier but ended up picking up last nights 9oz bottle instead of the fresh one.

I’m freaking out because I’m worried my son will get food poisoning. Has this happened to anybody else?

Has the bottle been in the fridge?

rebeccadaniels · 09/07/2022 12:53

No, it’s been left out for 15 hours on the bedside table

Your baby won’t die but they might get a really bad case of the shits.

Is this in any way reassuring?

Oh ok. Did you add boiling water to the powder when you made up the bottle?

I think if it had been really off he wouldn’t have drunk it. Sour milk is really obvious.

add to that we eat “gone off” milk all the time- cheese, butter etc, it’s fairly difficult to make yourself ill.

like pp said he may get a touch of d&v or crampy stomach. Just usual rest and liquids until any symptoms resolve. Just be aware of hydration, especially in this weather.
