Ladies i am FREAKING OUT right now. Took my child to a splash park earlier today and we was there for around a good hour before i noticed loads of the kids there had chicken pox (not scabbed over). I feel i may be over reacting slightly but my son hasn't had chicken pox yet and i've never had them plus we go on holiday (abroad) next week and now i'm terrified he will come up in them right before we go away

That is so awful and inconsiderate. I can’t believe after a global pandemic people still can’t get the hang of isolation.
There is a chicken pox vaccine you can get privately (boots and Superdrug amongst others) and if given within the first few days of exposure reduces the chance of catching it and the severity of illness if they do get it.
The incubation period for chicken pox is quite long - can be up to 21 days although more usually 7-14.
Unfortunately there is a huge amount of it about at the moment.
Really hope you manage to dodge it and have a great holiday.

Sorry just realised that you’ve not had chicken pox either - really strongly recommend getting at least yourself jabbed. Chicken pox in adults can be really really miserable - generally we feel more unwell than the kids.

I would strongly suggest you both get vaccinated ASAP! Expensive but so worth it if you are due to go away!
