Molars are brutal

My 11 mo boy has teeth #s 9 and 10 coming through. Part of the molar has broken through the gum on each tooth, but not all the way. His poor little gums are so red and painful looking.

He's up for a few hours in the middle of the night wimpering in pain (obviously I give him Calpol). He's extra moany and clingy all day and always want the cuddles.

I don't really have a question: I just feel so bad for the poor chicken! I'm glad that we're getting the teeth early and out of the way, but he's just so little to be getting such big teeth!!! T_T

Ibuprofen rather than calpol! And anbesol liquid, as it numbs the gums.

Hi @Sbena, I am living your past life right now! How is your little one doing now? Mine has her first 2 molars cutting at 11.5 months and is utterly miserable. Please tell me things get better?!!

@faded07 Much better now that they're over with!! He just had to power through them, but once the first molar was totally through he didn't have all four of them coming at once 😩

He's 17 months now and has 16 teeth - when we noticed the 4th molar literally 2 days later we saw that all four canines were through!!! It's been a nice 6 month break; half hoping the final set make their appearance soon so we can have done with it all!

All I can say is that teething is temporary. I'm definitely glad that they're out of the way early

Hope your little one bounces back soon!
