Breastfeeding with no vitamins?

Hi all,
So I didn't know that I should be taking any, but I've been told I should be taking multivitamins during breastfeeding. My diet hasn't been great either since she was born just due to minimal cooking and eating easy foods. A severe lack of fruit and vegetables I'll admit.
My baby is nearly 8 weeks old so now I feel terrible.
She's been having a daily vitamin D drops since about 3 weeks ago (I didn't know about the vit D thing either before then).
I thought breastfeeding had everything they needed, but it seems that formula feeding has everything they need already. 😔 she's exclusively breastfed.
Thanks x

You only need vitamin D and that's for you not the baby. The baby also needs it's own vitamin D (A,C and D from 6 months) but you're already giving that.

@YorkshireTeaCup Interesting to hear about your joint pain! I had the same, could hardly walk in the mornings for a while. GP was like 🤷🏻‍♀️ I take a bunch of vits now but still have slightly sore thumbs at 18 months+ PP. Could be too much Mumsnet scrolling though…

OP, all baby needs extra to breast milk is Vit D. Worth keeping your levels of everything up for your own benefit though. You’re doing GREAT, I’m sure. Don’t let anyone wobble you.
