What ounce bottle is your baby on?

My little girl will be 3 months old this month and she will only have 4oz bottles every 3 hours. Sometimes only taking 2/2 and a half of it. She finished 3 4oz bottles in a row so I upped it to 5oz and every time I've done that she'll only take 3 and a half of it. She's a very happy content baby, I just am unsure if her onky have 4oz bottles every 3 hours is okay? sometimes she'll wait for 4 hours at a time🥴

How much does she weigh? Babies are supposed to have roughly 5oz per kilo of body weight a day. It really varies though. My baby is 10 weeks old and has 5oz a feed (usually drinks about 4.5-5 of it) but my sons were big babies and were on 6-7 oz bottles by this age. As long as she’s happy and growing I wouldn’t worry about it

When she was weighed at her 8 week check she was 11lb 7oz. Born 7lb 1oz

Mine is the same age and also on 4oz every 3 hours (going for 4 hours overnight, so 7 feeds in total every 24 hours), but she’s much smaller, at 4.4kg. Paediatrician told us to feed 150ml per kg of body weight over 24 hours, and I think the nhs advice says 150-200ml. Do you know if she’s put on weight okay since the 8 week check? I’d maybe ask the heath visitor for advice if you’re worried though.

Is it breast milk or formula?

GirlMumxo · 07/07/2022 18:48

@MolliciousIntent she's in formula, cow and gate stage 1

@ifyourehungryhaveabanana I haven't had her weighed since the 8 week as it's only been 3 weeks. My health visitor only works Tuesdays and Wednesday so I think I'll text her Tuesday after reading some of these replies

Is she following her centile line? Plenty of wet and dirty nappies? Skin looking plump and healthy? Good colour? Plenty of awake time where she's nice and alert?

If yes to the above then she's fine.

GirlMumxo · 07/07/2022 18:53

@MolliciousIntent all of the above yes! She has lots of wet nappies, has a poo every other day which I got advice from my gp about and she said that's normal as she's getting older. Sometimes she'll have 2 in one day, then wait another day and then poo. But has plenty of wet nappies
