Hi all
Please could any nurses answer the below for me:

DC has had various treatment for a medical condition and we’d like to thank the nurses who cared for them. It’s one main nurse they see regularly however DC has been weighed etc by others. Please can you advise on what a good gift would be. Budget is approx £20 not sure if it’s best to just get something for this key person who has been brilliant and if so what suggestions do you have? Or is it more appropriate to get a nice tin of biscuits and chocolates etc for the whole team as obviously lots of people work behind the scenes to help DC too ie receptionist and HCAs and they are all lovely. TIA

Tin of biscuits/chocs for the team.
There are rules in the NHS about accepting gifts of any kind of value. A handwritten card is always appreciated and put up on the notice board.

A handwritten card naming the nurse is always the most valued wherever I have worked. I’m glad you and your family have been looked after.

A tin of biscuits/chocolates or even a nice fruit basket for the team and a card for the ward where you mention the specific nurse.

Some chocolates for the team and a handwritten card naming the nurse. She can use it for her revaluation. I would also right to the trust/practice to highlight her. My cards are my most favourite from families🥰

A careopinion review naming the nurse and a nice card for the individual- maybe a little bunch of flowers?
I’m on Mat leave at the minute and got my department a big box of crisps/biscuits from a wholesalers as a thank you for my present. A biscuit with your cuppa tea and a quick packet of crisps never goes wrong when you have no break time!

As someone else said you cherish the cards more and they help with revaluation 😊👍
Its very sweet of you though OP, I’m sure they were all just doing there job X
