Our family have been begged by our 11 yr old Ds to not got go to the 2 performances of his Yr 6 leavers play that will take place today - my instincts are “ just go “ he has a smal part & as the days have hot closer he’s been making claims that his mask broke so he isn’t in the play no more -no point in going he said , I phoned the school & it was a completely different story🤨 ,if we go I don’t want to upset him -if we don’t I’ll never forgive myself - any advice of what you would do .^^

Have you asked him why he doesn’t want you to go?

Is it possible for you to attend and hide in the back? I was forbidden from attending DS's yr 7 performance last month but they sent a secure YouTube link to watch so we didn't miss out. DS has shocking stage fright and is much better when we're not there!

we cert have because he said he’s not in the play any more he’ll be sat there sad But he is in the play as I phoned school think he’s told us this story so we won’t bother going & the only reason I can think of is he’ll be shy .Iv decided we are going 100% now we’ll be in the back row I wouldn’t dare try for front row . Thanks it helps to write things out & the answers come 😊
