My self and my ex co-parent out 2 children, we have them an equal amount of time. Should i share my child benefit with her?

If you truly share them equally then yes. However if there is a huge discrepancy in incomes and it would leave you in financial difficulty then no and I hope your ex would see it this way too.

Yes. The lower earner/whoever works least hours should be the registered recipient, and the amount should be split equally between both parents.

Hi. I have the child benefit however I am clear what it is spent on. iPads for school and phone contracts. It’s goes towards uniforms and school trips. I evidence this. Hope that helps.

Can you claim one child each?

Who takes time off work and loses earnings if they are ill? Both of you equally or one more than the other?

Is it possible to put it in an account you both have a card for to be spent purely on the children so uniform, school shoes, extracurricular?

Yes, one parent can claim for one child and the other parent claim for the other child. That’s a good solution however in my experience, high school uniform was more expensive than primary school uniform. One child might wear-out shoes quicker or grow quicker. One may have school activities that requires a bigger budget particularly if they are different sexes. Also, one child may grow to adult sizes and clothes are more expensive etc.
