Bedrooms?

Hi,
My son and I moved into our current house 2 years ago, and with only 2 bedrooms, I took the master with en-suite and he took the other, however I'm looking to swap these around.
They're not much different in size, his is more sqaure and more wall space for placing furniture, and mine slightly longer as rectangular but with a large empty space because of the 2 doors, both with built in wardrobes, although his is definitely bigger.

His furniture/ toys will work better in the master and same with my furniture in his. He's on holiday this week so was going to do it as a surprise but I keep going back and forth on wether it's a good idea or not. My biggest query is him having the en-suite, especially since he's only 5. If I'm honest it rarely ever gets used, as the family bathroom is right outside our bedrooms. We love our big bath so use that all the time, however I think he will benefit from en-suite more in teen years as it has built in shower. We use it more during parties etc, And I like having for my privacy if needed, so I really don't want to regret giving that up. It will be a shift dismantling and moving everything so once it's done it won't be changing again.
Has anyone else done something similar with pros and cons? X

When I was a single parent to my 2 dc they had the large room. It just made more sense, there was two of them plus toys etc. can't say about the toilet. I guess it would be handy if he needs a wee in the night. Do you trust him not to mess in there?

@Autienotnaughtie my mum done the same for us growing up but she was a kitchen person, where I'm more for my bed lol
Yeah, I trust him to behave with it, and think he will benefit from the extra floor space a lot more than I do.
