3 week old has started pooing during every feed. It looks like normal poo. Is this normal? Literslly every feed He starts going. Just started in the last few days . He doesbhave small red spots on his face but doesn't look like a rash. Seems to have had a bit of tummy pain the last 2 days and a bit unsettled but not screaming the house down.

He is formula fed. FTM so sorry if this is blindingly obvious and normal!

Before this he was going maybe 2 or 3 times a day. The red spots are small red bumps around his eyes and forehead. Doesn't seem like he's itching

every baby like a adult opens their bowels at different times, different amounts, if your baby has changed frequency’s I’d ask you HV or someone but to what I can remember it’s normal. One of mine went several times through the night and never during the day, another one use to go and go and go but only once/twice a day. Congratulations on baby

As long as the poo is normal then I'd try not to fret.

Yes, it's normal. The sucking helps them relax their muscles enough to go.

The spots sound like milk spots or baby acne, which are extremely common. Google for a picture.

Mine both did this until about 6 weeks I think.

Spots are probably baby acne. This tends to be when it starts. My DD is 3 weeks and starting to come out in them, and looking back at photos, my first DD was the same.

Pooping with every feed is pretty normal too.

Sounds all very normal.

Milk spots / baby acne are normal and just their skin getting used to the outside world. It clears up by itself.

My little girl was like this and turned out she was cmpa. She did have a few other symptoms as well though.

Consult your midwife.

My DD pood during every feed until about 8 weeks (though she was ebf), we used to joke she operated on a "one in, one out" policy. Otherwise totally fine, it was just when she felt most relaxed.

And agree with PP that the spots sound normal - as someone once helpfully told me, "babies are hideous between 4-8 weeks". 😂 Between the spots and the cradle cap and balding patches, I found it rang true!

I've just changed him and noticed green bits in his poo. Picture below. This is the first time I've seen it like this :/ ?

Waiting for a call back from the HV just FYI. I know there is a wide range of normal for baby poo
