Any tips, potty trains fine when naked but put pants on its a whole different story!

My DD (2) is potty training she's 2 and a half now. She is absolutely fine when she's not wearing anything on her bottom half, goes to the potty without prompting etc. The minute, I put pants on he,there's all kinds of trouble. She treats them exactly the same as a nappy, I have tried pull ups but its the same. She won't tell me when she needs to go just has accidnets. Any tips!

squinny - my dd is nearly 2 and just the same so i shall be watching this thread with interest. good luck and keep at it. pesonally I don't want to go down the pull ups route as i have read a lot that it confuses them - not to mention, they're expensive !

Personally I'd crank the heating up and let her run around naked from the waist down for a few days. Then try putting a skirt but no knickers on for a while. Once she's had more practice at recognising cues and knowing when she needs to go she should be fine with pants.

How long has she been training for? It took my dd about 3 weeks to be reliably dry.

Just don't put pants on for a while. She'll soon get the idea.
