I need to get a car seat for a family members one year old but struggling to work out what we need.
Halfords were useless and said they had nothing that fits.
It needs to fit a fiat bravo.
I’ve tried Google but I’m getting confused.

Help!

It looks like a perfectly normal car? Have you tried any seats so far?

At one year old do you want a rear facing seat? That is the safest option at that age. Joie have some inexpensive belt fitted options, but might not be the most compact. There are longer lasting, more compact fitting rear facing seats but they are more expensive.

Or as it's a three door some people like to go for a spin seat. Britax Dualfix can be a good option as the button is on the base, at the side unlike Joie or Cybex where it's on the seat part itself, by the child's feet (so hard to reach from the front when they are rear facing).

Usually to check for compatability you'd start with the car seat model and check which cars it fits. The only fit checker I know of that starts with the car is the Honest John one, but it's not up to date and doesn't have every car seat on the market.

The Joie Stages or Steadi are both compatible.

This is what their site says. As I said, not a complete list (although actually, not bad at all) but a good starting point.
