Dreading the 6 weeks holidays

I’m dreading the summer holidays and just wondered if anyone was in the same boat and had any helpful tips?! I am a lone parent to 4 oldest 2 have asd /adhd and I have no help from family and their father hasn’t seen them in almost 2 years so they are with me every minute of the day unless they are at school so that is the only break I get to keep me sane! The oldest can’t attend clubs as she needs 1:1 and has challenging behaviour (this makes going out hard also) so we will probably have to be home a lot. Anyone in the same boat dreading the summer holidays and has any survival tips?! Also the older 2 have no friends so meeting up with their friends isn’t an option.

please no comments about how you love the summer holidays etc I’m specifically aiming this at those that find it tough.

I also have 4 children, 1 with add, and the summer hols are tough so I can't imagine how hard it is as a lone parent. Are you able to set up a tent and camp in the garden? We do this, you're only allowed into the house to go to the toilet and shower but other than that all cooking etc is outside. We find it a cheap and easyish way to break up the holiday.

That’s a nice idea thank you, we will definitely be spending a lot of time in the garden so that’s something we could do

Also look for any discounts you can find for days out. If you have another adult who can go with you, you'll find the discounts work better as usually it only covers 2 kids
