Essential oil diffuser and newborn?

Hi all,
New mum here, baby girl is nearly 6 weeks old now. I have a question, it has been driving me crazy for the last week and I'm beside myself with worry.
So my mother in law was holding my baby in a chair which was in front of an electric diffuser, the ones where you drop oil in the water and it puffs out the vapour with it in.
Anyway my newborn baby was in front of the diffuser for 10 mins at least, then in the room for a further 10. When I Googled it, it says not to use electric diffusers around newborns, not until baby is 6 months old.
Have I caused any damage to her developing lungs? I've cried a lot about this. Am I overthinking? Or who would I ask to find out about this?
It was a white company mint essential oil which apparently has peppermint essential oil in it.
Can't stop thinking I've caused something terrible to happen in future to my precious baby 😭😭😭

By the way, praying I'm being silly here so would really appreciate the 'you're being silly' comments.

I'm so upset. I'm sure this will be the first of many times I will worry about my baby, but at the moment this is what's driving me crazy and I'm adamant I've caused some sort of future issues for her 😭 I'm giving myself such a hard time about it.

Here's a "you're being silly" comment!

Diffusers around babies aren't ideal, but you won't have caused any damage in 20 minutes!

Cripes. I've had a diffuser with snuffle babe, and later infant olbas oil, going for my snotty baby since long before 6 months. He's 9 months now and absolutely fine.

Unless she has an underlying health condition like cystic fibrosis then no she will be fine.

I use one of those diffusers with olbas oil when my little ones have colds - really helps with their breathing. To my knowledge, they are both absolutely fine. I really wouldn’t worry! We live in a society where pregnant women and mothers are bombarded with information about what can harm your baby - if this was a risk to your child I’m sure you would have been told about it by a billion different websites, midwives, and your child’s health visitor.
