Formula recommendations for windy babies

My LO is exceptionally windy - my mother who has seen her fair share of babies was even amazed. I'm ebf but want to start supplementing with some bottle feeds to allow DH bonding opportunity and give me a bit of flexibility but am a bit worried about upsetting his tummy further with formula. Can anyone recommend a good one? I tried aptamil a few weeks ago but made his wind horrendous so stopped that sharpish! Thank you!

My first was super windy and we all laughed about it but it turned out he was allergic to cow’s milk. Not saying yours is, just that you might want to rule it out as giving formulae made from cow’s milk will make this much worse.

Yes! I've wondered about this so am actually cutting out dairy and giving colief (I do know colief is for lactose not Caesin cows milk protein but just hedging my bets...) in case it affects him through BM. HV didn't seem to think it was though, because he has no other symtoms. Is there any way to confirm CMPA? If so is it nutramigen that Dr's recommend? Thank you for replying!

It took me till mine was 2 and a half to realise because he was thriving and had no skin problems. His only real symptom is tummy ache and diarrhoea.
My second is also CMPA and I breastfeed and it definitely affects her through that. I tried Nutramigen and it was no good for her. It’s made from cow’s milk. We’ve since tried Puramino and that’s fine, based on Amino Acids instead. But I think she was really quite sensitive. But she also only has pain, wind and mucous/green nappies as her symptoms. Weight is fine.
good luck with it all.
