8 month regression?

My 8month old finally cracked a long morning nap in her cot independently about a month ago however 3 days a go was like a switch and suddenly if I put her down for her nap she stands up and cries hysterically. I've tried leaving her, I've tried check ins and the only thing that works is eventually rocking her to sleep. I then can't put her down as she immediately wakes and the cycle starts again. Is this the regression? How long does it last? Do I keep the same routine that was working or do i give in and just go back to contact napping?
Her wake window before first nap is normally about 2 hour 45mins. Ive tried less and more and it makes no difference, she just screams.

Our regression lasted just over a month and it was our worst one yet. I personally would comfort her and hold her to sleep if that’s what she’s wanting. Remember a ‘regression’ is actually a developmental leap/milestone so the more you help them throughout the better in the long run

OK thank you. She's been having really early wakes for the past 2 weeks and requiring cuddling back to sleep so I think this must be part of it. Today I boobed her to sleep for the first time in ages and she didn't cry when I put her down so fingers crossed she gets a decent nap. She was up at 3 this morning and only managed an hour an a half from 3 til half 9. Fingers crossed we get through it soon!!
