Should I continue feeding solids to my baby

My baby is 6 months and 1 week. He started solids 4 weeks ago, but recently he's seemed to favor solid food in stead of milk. I heard that at this stage of his development, milk should be his top priority. Should I stop weaning him?
p/s He is a little bit small for his age, my husband and I think it's genetic matter, cuz we were small when we were kids too. Is there any chance that my baby will be bigger than us?

How many times a day are you feeding solids and how many milk feeds? Do you do milk or food first?

Much like everything else, weaning isn't linear and there will probably be phases at both ends of the spectrum with milk and food!

No don't stop, because at 6 months he does now need solids in his diet. Just keep giving him as much milk as he needs and let his appetite dictate how much solids he eats.

Yes, he is currently getting the vast majority of his nutients from milk, but he does need a small amount of solids at this stage to compliment the milk

I feed him one to two solid meals a day, normally he needs milk after eating, but he refused milk today. We decided to wait until he was really hungry before we bottle fed him, but the amount of milk reduced. The total amount of intake dropped as well, that's what makes me worry most. Is it ok if babies sometimes eat less than usual?

Advice I was told (2 years ago) was do milk feeds first and solids second - that way they get all of the milk they need and are introduced to different solid foods too. Then as they get older flip it so solids first milk second.

Dont stop weaning. At this age it's more about getting them used to flavour, texture and learning to chew and swallow. Agree with PP give milk first and you could also do just one solid meal a day.

I'd give milk first before solids. Solids and just for fun and finding out at this stage. When he's older say 10 months you can reassess.

Are not and

Agree with PP milk first. If it helps at a month in we were doing milk at 7am, 11am, 3pm and bedtime and 1 or 2 'meals' which were a mixture of either breakfast at 8am, lunch at 12 or tea at 5pm (all times approx!!)
