3 month old waking self up with arms

My baby boy since 2 weeks old has slept so well in the arms up swaddle bags by love to dream. I would breastfeed him and then he would just drift off to sleep in beside me bed. He never liked traditional swaddles with arms by side but loved the arms up one.

Now he is flailing his arms so much that he wakes himself up constantly even in swaddle bag. I have tried not using the swaddle bag and using a sleep bag incase he felt restricted but that hasn’t helped. He will now only settle in my arms.

I am so confused why this is happening as he used to be such a great sleeper.

PLEASE HELP

My boy had the same thing which we solved by using a wrap around swaddle until (I think) 4 or 5 months, and it really helped him settle. He was t massively pleased with the restrictiveness but he got used to it after a few days, and the better quality sleep put him in a better mood anyway. But if he really doesn't like it the you might have to wait it out! Good luck

Swaddle him with his arms by his side perhaps
