Potty training... Normal or something else?

DD is 26 months old and just over 2 weeks ago she woke up and declared that she was no longer wearing nappies and from now on she'd be wearing pants.

So far she's doing great, she hasn't had any wee accidents since the first couple of days and she tells me in good time for us to find a toilet when out and about.

Poos have been a little bit more hit and miss, up to last Thursday she was fine at home as long as I watched her like a hawk and encouraged her to use the potty. She would often visit the potty multiple times before actually doing anything.

Thursday was her first day back with the Childminder and when I picked her up, the CM said she'd been complaining of stomach ache when out so the CM encouraged her to poo but no such luck. She held it until they got back to the CM's house where the CM offered her a nappy and she went straight away.

Since then she's been complaining of stomach pain periodically and had a range of poos (from fully formed to soft), the fully formed ones she's 100% made it to the toilet for but the less solid ones she's struggled to get there in time. This evening for example she told me she needed a poo, sat on the toilet and did nothing, then 5 mins later she yelled that she needed to go but couldn't get there in time.

Does this sound normal for potty training or do we think she might have a bit of a dodgy stomach? She seems fine otherwise and it doesn't always seem linked to needing a poo that she mentions her stomach.

If it's normal is there anything else I can do to encourage her to tell me sooner, she knows poo goes in the toilet because she does run there even if she doesn't make it in time. Sometimes she'll say she needs to go but then won't sit on the toilet for long enough, meaning she's running back 5 minutes later.

Just nervous as we go on holiday on Sunday and I was hoping we might have cracked it by then!
