Game and puzzle ideas?

Hello, looking for ideas for my DS. He loves jigsaws and is good at 16-20 piece puzzles, and he’s enjoyed Bus Lotto from Orchard Toys and their match & spell game (he can’t spell but he likes the Matching element!)

Does anyone have suggestions about other games we might enjoy playing together, based on that limited range of examples? Also can anyone tell me where to get puzzles of around that number of pieces?I can’t seem to find anything between about 5 pieces and 50 pieces

thanks in advance!

DD loves the Galt giant floor puzzles with the special shaped pieces. Ravensburger do a lot of 24-piece puzzles too.

She also likes the peg puzzles you can get and we have a mosaic game where she has to match coloured stickers to the spaces.

Here's one of the Galt ones I mentioned:

Galt Toys, Giant Floor Puzzle -... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08SWLNRBZ?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

We've bought those for a couple of her friends and they've been a massive hit (the dinosaur one especially)

Thank you, that’s great! I have been struggling to find anything at the right level. I actually have an ancient peg mosaic and magnet mosaic thing which I found just before I read your message, so I will give them a go and will look into the floor puzzles

We have SO many orchard games for my son (now 3.5 but had them for a while now). So many variations and he loves them. We also have their letter jigsaw and their number jigsaw. Which he also likes. Bright and colourful.

Mine all loved the Shopping List game from Orchard, and DS3 loved the Labyrinth game from Ravensburger.
We had a Maths one from Orchard that involved a cauldron and rubbing numbers off for sums but that might be a bit old for your DS yet.

How old is he?

Dobble is a great matching game - can get different/faster as they get older/more competitive. Lots of different themes available.

Orchard do lots of jigsaws - website orders them by number of pieces and age so easy to find what you want - www.orchardtoys.com/dept/orchard-toys-jigsaw-puzzles_d013.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjwwJuVBhCAARIsAOPwGARlm0Z0zyvoMfW9U7rqyfqVmmVV1YTrbcGSeXLF_UW294tRbIAOfqEaAqXYEALw_wcB

Usborne also do lovely jigsaws and some jigsaw/book sets - usborne.com/gb/books/series/usborne-book-and-jigsaw

Labyrinth as PP said is great, one that I actually enjoy playing!

Also maybe some basic classics?
Connect 4
Guess Who
Frustration
Operation

My son had one of these layered wooden jigsaws of the body when he was maybe 3/4 which he loved - except my MiL picked it up in Aldi/Lidl at a fraction of the price of this one so worth looking out for one! - yesbebe.co.uk/products/layer-puzzle-anatomy-boy?currency=GBP&variant=42588966027476&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwJuVBhCAARIsAOPwGATNvf_vvKnRwp9v7WDmkQOGweKKn1jdQxXabm5D08yyxrp81V1TTicaAnrVEALw_wcB

Orchard toys and Galt have loads of games and puzzles, the shopping list game has been around for years and is always popular.
How old is your little one? I've had 3-4 year olds playing Uno (the numbers/colours one, not the children's version) alongside their older siblings.

DS is 2.5, so a bit young for dobble - which I know he will love in a year or two! I do like the Orchard Toys games, they’re so bright and simple and you can play them in your own way. I hadn’t seen they had a website (bit dim of me not to google) so I will go and have a mooch on there and see what I think he will enjoy.
thanks very much all!
