Cold sore and 3 months old baby

Does any of you have experience with a cold sore and a little baby. My son is 3 months old and I have a cold sore for the third time since he was born. I'm scare of passing it onto him.

What did you do when you had a baby and a cold sore? Did you wear mask? And how did you wash your hands while you were outside and didn't have water? Also, obviously, it's important to wash hands especially after touching the cold sore, but do you think that it's enough to use soap just once and the virus will be washed, or should I use soap a couple of times while washing my hands?

thats what I used, when my DD was tiny and I had a coldsore
I’m sure you know, avoid kissing, cuddles are ok, just make sure your face is out of reach to them
wash your hands, very carefully and hand sanitiser
for what’s worth, I did that and didn’t passed it, my DD is now 11, no cold sores for her
