Bottle recommendations (NOT tommee tippee)

Hi all!

Anyone have any recommendations for good bottles for formula feeding? I got a tommee tippee complete feeding set but all the bottles scratched after a couple of months. I bought replacement tommee tippee bottles thinking they’d last another few months but they’ve scratched again after 2 weeks (I’m very careful with them so putting it down to the plastic)

preferably ones that would fit the tommee tippee steam steriliser, not fussed on price just want some reassurance I won’t have to replace them in a couple of weeks time!

thanks :)

MAM were the best bottles we used. Not too.sure about the steriliser, we used to do them in the microwave. Really good teat shape for our little girl

MAM are the best by far. So easy to sterilise and baby took to them quickly (every baby is different ofc)

fedupofthismeh · 11/06/2022 17:08

We used the bottles for 16 months and never had a scratch on them and the numbers are as clear as the day we bought them. 2 years ago

smileyplant · 11/06/2022 17:08

Yep MAM have been great for us and the ability to self sterilise is handy too.

We used Dr Browns. No issues with scratching etc... not sure if they'll fit in your steriliser though!

NUK bottles with latex teats esp if moving on from bfeeding.

Dustyflash · 11/06/2022 17:14

NUK . I tried so many different types but honestly these were best.

I think we must have been unlucky. It’s weird because we have a bottle we bought as an individual and that’s been fine, no scratches the whole time, but any bought as a set have been terrible.

Ahh just realised this is probably re the MAM bottles from your previous comment - the lack of sleep is hitting hard today haha

whats wrong with scratches

bdd2017 · 11/06/2022 17:25

Lansinoh - loved them

redandwhite1 · 12/06/2022 03:07

Dr brown although then being massive can be annoying!

MolliciousIntent · 12/06/2022 07:03

What's the issue with the bottles having scratches?

StarlessSea123 · 13/06/2022 22:08

I use Dr Browns bottles and have a Tommee Tippee steam steriliser. The 5oz bottles fit in the bottom layer of the steriliser but the bigger bottles will need the “rack” top layer removed in order to fit. Dr Browns haven’t scratched or anything like that and we’ve been using them nearly 3 months now.

StarlessSea123 · 13/06/2022 22:10

Meant to add, one downside to me of Dr Browns bottles is that they have so many different parts to clean and assemble compared to the Tommee Tippee bottles but they’re great for reducing wind in baby.

TT anti colic have lots so assume you mean the standard TT bottles?

Nat6999 · 14/06/2022 05:35

Avent bottles are good, the whole feeding system is great because you can mix & match, things like putting a handle on bottles as they get older. They do anti colic bottles, natural feel & ordinary ones.

Mam, every time!

Some people don't like them, they think it looks rough?

QuestionableMouse · 14/06/2022 10:41

We did MAM and cold water sterilisation. Found it so much better than trying to steam them!

StarlessSea123 · 14/06/2022 13:32

@redandwhite1 yes just the standard ones
