5mo diarrhoea and will not drink

My 5mo has had diarrhoea all week. It's so explosive and he has had to go straight in to the bath multiple times. He is refusing to drink any formula, cool boiled water or dioralyte.

Have been to the GP several times. Changed formula (hydrolysed dairy and amino acid formulas) to no avail. Urine and stool samples normal.

The diarrhoea has been on and off for 2 months (prompting the suspicion of an allergy) but nothing seems to help. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm concerned re dehydration as he isn't replacing any fluids now.

Try syringing 5 ml of water or other fluid towards the back of his cheek every 5 mins. Ask GP for a referral to a paediatrician re the allergy.

If he's refusing to drink for more than 12 hours id take him to A&E. Dehydration in babies is no joke.
