Uncomfortable baby. Just can’t seem to get it right

My DS has been struggling with milk since forever. He is 9 weeks ( 5weeks corrected)

He’s very uncomfortable a lot of the time. Going red, grunting, bringing knees up to his stomach. He screams when on his back & screams throughout a feed. GP gave gaviscon, I didn’t see much of a difference…. But maybe this is due to the other symptoms being so severe

Fast forward a few weeks HV comes over and says she thinks it’s maybe a cows milk allergy. So we change formula to nutramigen.

All his symptoms have dramatically reduced, however he is more sick on this milk and will really cry after the feed for about an hour. He will also bring up clear fluid.

I just can’t seem to get it right for my poor boy. I asked GP about a thickener as maybe he’s taking it too fast??? (Causing the sickness) but GP said no as all his symptoms have reduced. Do I just buy a thickener anyway?
Shall I persevere with the gavisxon… I had been syringing it in.. but maybe I should try mixing with his milk?

I just want a happy baby, but it feels one thing after another. :(
