Breast Feeding Weaning

Hello all,
Really hoping for some advice. I've exclusively breast fed my little one for 14 months and weaning him off. Hes a really good eater/sleeper and I'm so grateful. However when I'm not allowing him to have feeds from me during the day he's getting so upset, it's really getting to me. I try snacks, playing, cuddles etc to distract but he pulls at my top and just cries until I leave the room and my wife settles him. I'm abit lost at what to do, anyone who has experienced the same and has tips I'd really appreciate it.

I think some children are much more "boob dependent" than others.
My DS was and was forever crying for a BF.

At a year he still fed every couple of hours because I never said no; more fool me!

Even now at 2.5yo he has one feed before bed (but asks for more constantly!).

I had most success by slowly cutting out one feed every few weeks. Also lots of distraction.

I used to go out somewhere when they were like this so they would either be strapped in the pushchair away from the boobs or busy doing something so they wouldn't think about it! Ditto at home, be busy doing things - do not sit down on the sofa 😂, make full use of other people around to keep their attention away! Also rather than saying no, say 'not now' or 'in a minute' 'later' etc.
