Confused by bottles/feeding schedule for 10 month old

I am confused about feeding schedules for my 10 almost 11 month year old and can't find much information. He is on 3 solid meals a day but I'm still giving him some bottles mainly a bottle when he wakes up, sometimes one at 3:30ish and one at bedtime. He sometimes wakes once for a bottle at night so I don't think he is getting quite enough in the day but I also feel I need to be phasing out bottles and/or just having milk in a cup rather than a bottle? He is formula feed and is now on Hipp Organic follow on. Are you suppose to change it to cows milk when he turns one?

He uses his munchkin miracle cup for water quite well now but only takes a few sips so would take ages to have his milk this way I think. So my question is what feeding schedule/routine do you follow for your 10 month (or thereabouts)? Should I be phasing out bottles and maybe just giving one at wake up and bedtime? Or are you meant to stop bottles totally by a certain point? I'm a first time mum in case you couldn't tell!

My health visitor said to get rid of the morning milk and just have one after lunch before afternoon nap and one at bedtime. My son is 12 months now and just has a bottle at bedtime. He has cows milk at 1 and still has it in a bottle.

My nearly 10 month old has three bottles a day - wake up, after afternoon nap around 3ish and bedtime. 7oz each so max 21oz across the day.

Afternoon bottle will probably naturally reduce over the next couple of months and be gone before 12 months (DS stopped at about 11 months)

I kept bottles to transition to cows milk after 12 months morning and evening. Then got rid of the morning bottle and had it in a sippy cup.

The advice is to loose the bottles after 1 but DS still has his bedtime milk in a bottle and he has just turned two. It's the only one he has and I brush his teeth afterwards. If DD hadn't arrived I might have got rid of the evening bottle but we haven't got round to it and bedtime routines and sleep are solid I'm a bit afraid to do so!!!

Like others have said, we were onto just the night-time (before bed) bottle at around 1. My LO was a similar age to yours when he dropped the afternoon bottle, and at 1 we tried to switch the morning bottle to a cup - he refused it, so we just dropped it. Worked out quite well with me returning to work and having early starts!

And yes, from 1 the bed bottle was cow's milk, slightly warmed in our case (he'd also been on Hipp before that). Good luck! 🙂

Thanks so much all, this all makes sense and is reassuring that I'm on the right track roughly. Thanks again Mumsnet.
