Any tried and tested?? we did crocs last year, tbf they were fine, seemed sturdy and DCs wore them to adventure play parks etc. but they did give him blisters on a couple of occasions, clearly not major but we're going on hol soon and it's a small headache I'd like to remove.

Any recommendations, or do they all have that potential with none socked feet getting wet and or sandy. Would prefer something closed toe for info.

As above. Really why aqua shoes will do the job. you get closed toes, you get the mesh topped ones. You can also get aqua boots/surf boots but I'm not sure how small a size they go to.

The best thing by far is wetsuit boots- high enough so sand doesn't get in over the top when they sit/ dig. However, I don't know if you can get them in super small sizes.

These go down to a kids' 7

Ah grand people thank you, I was just thinking scuba material would be a good option and you have delivered! I'll take a look now. All these jelly shoes look very sweet but I just think rubbing then blisters!
