Baby won’t go down for bedtime

DD is 5.5 months old and the past 2/3 weeks is not going down to bed well

she goes in the bedside cot about 8-9 then is up every hour crying. I try patting, shushing and stroking her cheek etc but have to pick her up she gets inconsolable

some nights she goes a few hours between bottles in the cot. Most nights she’s in our bed co sleeping

What can I do? I know I shouldn’t create the habit of her in the bed but it helps us get a few hours. She used to go in her cot okay and now she needs settling so much

ps I’ve tried drowsy but awake nothing seems to work and I can’t do cry it out I don’t want to

I’m so exhausted😭

If you are happy to co-sleep then don't worry about 'bad habits' and them 'not learning to sleep alone'. They're tiny little scared beings that need to be close to their safe place. It's natural and we co sleep as a family (super king size bed lol) so me, hubby, 4yo and 10mo and I get so much better quality sleep because I'm not listening out or waiting for the inevitable wake up. 'Drowsy but awake' is the biggest parenting lie! It's made to sell books.
I'd just crack on with the cosleeping.

Try earlier bedtime perhaps? Or make last nap earlier.
