Window Guard

Does anyone use a window guard?

I'm redoing my child's bedroom and want to move the bed closer to the window but it freaks me out that the bed would be so close to the window and would like some sort of guard/ barrier for the window.

Any suggestions?

Get a lockable opening restrictor?

I'm just worried my son can climb onto the windowsill. So not sure the catch would help.
