Snuzpod 4 Thoughts?

I've just bought a Snuzpod4 (FTM) but I'm a bit disappointed. I naively and stupidly thought the mattress would be level with my bed, but it seems like this feature has changed since the Snuzpod3 due to new safety regulations. There's now a bit of a step down and a mesh barrier, making it more of a separate sleep space. However, I personally liked the idea of replicating co-sleeping but without having baby in my bed so I'm a bit disappointed about this. My own fault though for not researching properly and just assuming it would be the same!

But I was wondering if anyone has a Snuzpod4 and how you've found if? Has this new feature been an issue for you or have you (and your baby) liked it?

I have it, I liked that I couldn't roll into it because of the lipped bit. Obv exact opposite of what you wanted🙈my boy settled fine but I would have been better buying a cheap slim line cot as I never put the side down.

I had one and really liked it. It's near enough co sleeping, you can still rest your hand on them if they stir for example. The 'lip' meant that I could leave the side down all the time, and didn't have to attach the cot to my bed, so I could move it to get in and out of bed. Best of both worlds I think.

We bought one but baby isn't due until August. It doesn't seem to go as low as I expected to fit beside our bed so I'm glad of the lip as baby will be higher than the bed.

I'm expecting to be able to lower the side and keep my hand on baby while I sleep. So baby knows it's not alone.
