Changing formula brand – how long to see improvement?

At my wit’s end with this diarrhoea. The GP has sent off baby’s poo samples but I’m quite sure it’s the new formulation of Aptamil. It’s been 3 weeks. I’m going to switch to Kendamil today. I was going to increase it gradually, but I think I might go cold turkey as what’s the point? How long do you think it takes to see if the new formula will be better on his digestive system? Like, what if we have diarrhoea again tomorrow? I don’t know how I’ll know whether it’s a stomach bug/something else or it was just the formula after all.

Did you change formula and how long did it take to see a change? If there was a change?

We did see change, but I can’t be sure to attributed to the formula change or just general growing up a bit. I think it took four weeks to notice a difference. At the time my baby had also got a parasitic infection from swimming lessons, so hard to see if that was making his gut feel unhappy for longer. But yes, we did move from one Brand to another and didn’t look back. In our case, it was Aptamil to Kendamil.
